Ricjeareu "RJ" Villaflor

"Ricjeareu Villaflor (mainly known as RJ) started dancing at a very young age. He constantly watched Michael Jackson concert and music videos through which he learned to mimic Michael Jackson's dance moves. In the winter of 1999, RJ's brother, PJ, introduced him to the Bboying art form. RJ's potential in Funk Styling, however, was discovered when he attempted to do an arm wave in the back seat of a Toyota Avalon. PJ saw this and further developed his skills. In 2004, RJ visited a Bboying session at Kensington church in Troy, Michigan. It was after this session where he began extensive research on genuine Hip Hop and discovered that it was a way of escaping monotony and reaching true happiness. In 2006, he attended Original VIBE where his love and dedication to genuine Hip Hop culture and it’s community became embedded into his life."

Through FreeSoul Tribe, I hope to develop my skills in Bboying and Popping by absorbing the knowledge and experiences of my crew members and to share open-mindedness, selflessness, and humility through Bboying and Popping.
