Ever since I was little I always loved music. I was a late bloomer growing up and many people perceived me as shy. So one of the few things that helped me to be more social and overcome anxiety was when I was introduced to break dancing in middle school. Local universities and high schools were a huge inspiration for me at the time and I was blessed to become a part of my own crew through my high school years.
I have been so fortunate and grateful to meet the people I know now who also share the same love for hip hop. We dance because we simply feel the music. I love the energy, the creativity, and the heart that I get to see with each dancer I meet along the way through FreeSoul Tribe's events.
With FreeSoul Tribe, we make ideas into events and we only make commitments and nothing less. I'd like to keep coordinating events that are a positive environment to all dancers and to spread the love of music and the art of this dance to other people. Also, I would like to be able to introduce hip hop culture to someone else who would be moved and inspired to start dancing or to keep dancing.
Though I haven't bgirled in years, I can honestly say that the love has never faded but only growing stronger as each day passes. I'm so proud to be working with a great crew, it feels like we're family now to tell you the truth - and any chance to be a part of anything like that is a blessing.
